It’s time for this week’s Friday Faves! I started this series as a way to share some of my favorite things from the past week. They can be products, websites, experiences, TV shows, or just whatever tickled my fancy this week. Here were my faves of the week!
1.) The Walking Dead. It feels a little weird to say that a zombie show is on my favorite things list. You should know that I typically DO NOT like anything scary or gory. In fact, the last scary movie I saw at the movie theater was the one where the little kid saw dead people – and my eyes were completely closed for 80% of the movie! (It was a really long time ago.) However, I am not a fan of the show because of the creepy-looking zombies. I love the show because I think the storylines are some of the best on TV. The writers on this show are amazing (and I totally love Daryl! Just had to throw that in there.). And, it’s also one of two shows that my husband and I actually watch together – and, no, the other show is not any of the Real Housewives.
2.) Men that cook. My husband and I both work full-time jobs and, while I relish my “Mommy role” at home, sometimes I’m just too tired to get dinner on the table every night. Thankfully, my husband has saved us from many, many pizza take-out expenses. Before we met he could barely fry an egg, but now he has come to love cooking and makes dinner for the family a couple of nights a week. I even think that the kids like his food better than mine!
3.) Café Escapes. Café Escapes is a premium collection of hot cocoas and dairy based beverages that you can brew at home with a Keurig machine (they come in single-brew K-Cups). BzzAgent sent me some samples of Café Escapes to try recently and Holy Cow – these flavors are awesome! Personally, I love the Café Mocha (I only added a little milk) – the flavor is so rich and so sweet, I could drink one every day. And, at less than 70 calories, I can do just that…GUILT FREE! If you have a Keurig brewing machine you have to try these. YUMMY!!!

I’ve heard great things about Walking Dead and now have to see it for myself. I also cannot watch anything remotely scary. If the hubs even flips to anything that looks like Ghost Adventures, I immediately walk out of the room!
