Can you remember the last time you did something completely fun & crazy? I really had to dig deep for this one because, admittedly, it’s been awhile for me. I’m the Type A, plan everything down to the minute, maker of to-do lists kind of mom. I even plan what chores I’m going to complete each day and which errands to run. Crazy, right? Some days I wish I were more spontaneous. I wish I would get a crazy idea and follow through with it. Because, I mean, some days I do get some crazy ideas, but the “square” in me snaps me right back to my sensibilities.
So, since I haven’t done anything wild and crazy, perhaps I should create a Wish List of things I just might do (if my balls were big enough).
- Book a spur-of-the-moment flight and just GO!
- Buy that oh-so-pretty pair of (expensive) heels, just because. (A nod to my former self.)
- Let my daughter play hooky from school and spend a day with the family in the middle of the week.
- Bungee jump. Scratch that. Definitely don’t have the nerve to try that.
- Hit the spa for a massage and a facial. (I never, ever spend money on that.)
- Rip up my to-do list and just veg out. (Man, I am so lame.)
